The natural surroundings have served as the perfect canvas to create La Puertecita de Atitlán, blending natural vernacular materials, local cultural elements, and environmentally friendly practices.

Earth acupuncture has been crucial in the careful harmonization of the place, minimizing the detrimental effects of underground water veins and terrain faults. The sacred solar geometry imbues solar rhythms, such as solstices and equinoxes, throughout the structure, aligning it with the winter solstice sunrise (December 21) and sensitively connecting us with the sun. Every nook, room, window, door, wall, and piece of furniture has been meticulously designed, incorporating the vibrations of the five elements. Our bodies feel the well-being, the elevation of the spirit, and the peace emanating from the energetic architecture.

  The Sanctuary House stands as a bespoke creation, meticulously crafted for the creative, exclusive and artistic clients. It embodies the essence of a harmonized space, embracing minimalism within a single, open expanse that seamlessly integrates every facet of the home. Noble materials, including locally sourced stone, lime blended with prickly pear cactus, and wood treated with beeswax, not only enhance sustainability but also evoke a natural integration with the surroundings.  The strategically positioned stained glass, portraying the Flower of Life and perfectly aligned with the equinox sunrises (March 21 and September 21), enriches the ambiance with a timeless philosophy that embraces simplicity as the ultimate sophistication. . Each window invites the outdoors in, providing a sense of connection to nature without compromising the comfort of the interior.

 In our pursuit of zero waste architecture, we embrace a transformative approach where debris and remnants from both ongoing and dismantled constructions become the foundational elements of our structures. We breathe new life into old structural and architectural elements, creatively repurposing them to minimize the otherwise inevitable waste generated during construction. This commitment extends beyond sustainability—it's a conscious effort to recover and reutilize materials, fostering an environment where the remnants of one creation become the building blocks for another.
